Since there's technically no gameplay benefit to having a Neko Atsume cat, there isn't really a single cat that's 'better' than another. There's no extensive gameplay loop here - instead, Neko Atsume is a laidback collectable cat game with kittens at its heart. The only thing you can really do with the cats is take pictures of them, filling up your photo album with images of your feline friends having fun in the game's garden setting. It'll track how many of the 67 cats you've encountered, as well as the day you first met them. Therefore, Neko Atsume's Catbook is basically your equivalent to a Pokédex. Rather than using the cats for any tangible gameplay benefit, like battling or trading, instead your aim is to collect all the cats available in the game. In Game Freak's smash franchise, the aim is to catch as many different Pokémon as you can - and that's broadly the case in Neko Atsume, too.
